Shaun Collyer and his wife, Sara, opened an indoor playground in Asheville, NC called Mountain Play Lodge and it will make you want to pick up your kids and move east.

This place has it all! They have 16,000 square feet of fun, including giant inflatables, play houses, party rooms, a replica of the Biltmore House and, of course, an area full of Soft Play’s soft-foam indoor play equipment. Apparently, the Collyers even asked Soft Play to create three replicas of their family’s Swiss Mountain Dog, Gabby. She greets people in the lobby, pulls a wagon in front of the Biltmore House and rests calmly in the toddler area (where kids crawl all over her!). Shaun says she’s become a local celebrity. (If you’re curious about our design/build customization process. click here.)

Mountain Play Lodge also has a pretty spectacular toy store. It was voted the third-best toy store in western North Carolina. (Need birthday presents all you Asheville parents?)

The Collyers thought of parents, too! They have a gorgeous parents area dead center in the facility where parents can see 99% of the playground. For the 1% that parents can’t see, the Collyers installed a video monitor. So, parents can enjoy the lovely stone fireplace, comfy chairs, coffee and free wi-fi while their kids go bananas all around them. Can you say “heaven?”

Exciting news: Shaun says he’s looking to expand!
